General information
Montenegro is located between 41º 52´-43º 42´ north latitude and 18º26´- 20 º 22´ east longitudes and belongs to the central Mediterranean that is Southern Europe. To the north it borders Serbia, to the southeast Kosovo and Albania, to the south it is separated from Italy by the Adriatic Sea and to the west it borders Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Valut and payments
The official currency in Montenegro is EURO (€). The Seven banknotes in denominations of 5 €, 10 €, 20 €, 50 €, 100 € and 200 € and 500 € and eight coins of 1 € and 2 € as well as 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 50 cents. Foreign currency exchange is conducted in commercial banks and currency exchange.
Visa
Stay up to 90 days is possible in Montenegro on the basis of short-stay visa or without a visa. A visa is not required to citizens of the EU, US, Russia, Japan and Israel, as well as in neighboring countries.
All foreign nationals without permanent residence are required to report this to the police stay and change of address within 24 hours of arrival. If you are staying in a hotel or private accommodation, it will do for you owners.
